Last weekend, April 14, Bo and I bagged us a Tom. We had him for dinner a few days later. It was very good. We had a great time! We actually were very cold. It was in the lower 40s and the wind was blowing. Turkey hunting is a sit on your can and wait game. Still, we shot every Tom we saw . . . one! 100% success.

A. Mazing. Wow. Did it really taste that good? I had a hard time seeing any people in the pictures, though. Weird. It just seems like the turkey is hanging upside down in the air. Hm. Sounds super cool. What do you hunt a turkey with?
Well, well, well! A new sport I hadn't even thought about. Where did you go? Just some big turkey farm? Or did you go where they live in the wild. I am most impressed that you shot a turkey! I mean you hit the target! And then you ate it! Sweet! Is it kind of like pheasant hunting? Do you have to watch out for buck shot when you eat it? congrats! xoxoxo Mama
Turkey hunting is not like pheasant hunting. You sit very still in camo clothing at then use bird calls to call the turkeys close to you. Generally the shots you take are 20 yards or less. You have to be like a statue. You shoot for the head. I hit the bird with a perfect shot. Not one piece of buck shot below the neck. There are lots of turkey in Texas. Wild ones in the big, open expanses. We went to a 1000 acres cattle ranch that is owned by the boss of one of my members. Beautiful territory. About 2 hours from our home.
What ever...where did you get those cool plastic gloves. I tell you what Scott you look so cool. That turkeys feathers are beautiful! What a great thing to do. If we ever get to Texas that would be a fun thing to do! You look great.
